Funds needed for Clipper & Rocko

Donation protected
Clipper and Rocko came into my life about a month ago after I heard about them and there story.  Clipper and Rocko have had a tough couple of months. They were found and taken to the shelter. Their owners knew of this and never came back for them, basically abandoning them at East Valley Animal Shelter. They have been there for a couple of months, and because summer is the busiest time for shelters, dogs and cats are put down at a higher rate seeing as there is a constant influx of dogs coming in, severely limiting shelter space.  Because of this fact, I could not just stand aside and watch them be put to sleep. Because they are pit bulls, they, along with others like them at shelters across the nation, are constantly overlooked and judged because of their breed and the dreaded "stereotype" that comes along with it.

I have loved animals all of my life, especially dogs. Being a dog lover and owner myself, I couldn't simply let these bonded brothers rot and diminish in a shelter-NO. I knew that if I have the power to do something, I WILL do it. Therefore, I started working with a rescue group, League of Extraordinary Mutts, who offered to help me save Clipper and Rocko by  pulling them from the shelter and in turn saving them from being put down. However, the rescue group I am working with does not have a facility to house Clipper and Rocko, they are a foster dependent rescue. Unfortunately, they do not have any fosters available at this time and it has been difficult to find a foster for both of them. Fortunately, someone stepped up to help foster, but could only foster one dog, Rocko. Therefore, in the mean time Clipper will be in a safe and clean boarding facility until we can find them a furever home. Because I am the one who pleaded with the rescue to save them from the shelter, I am the one who will be paying for boarding for Clipper until we can find these two brothers a forever home. I know boarding is less than an ideal situation, however, this is the only way I could ensure that Clipper and Rocko would be ok. The boarding facility that Clipper is in costs $150 per week, and seeing as I am a college student, I don't have enough funds to cover this costs on my own and would really appreciate help from my community, friends and family.

I will not stop until I find them a forever home or a foster home (for both of them). Ideally, I do NOT want to keep Clipper in boarding for a long period of time, especially because he is bonded with his brother Rocko and has anxiety when he is separated from him. That is why I need to find them a forever home ASAP!  I will be working around the clock to find these four dogs an amazing and loving home because they deserve it.

This cutie is Clipper!! Clipper is an 8 year old pit bull who came into East Valley with his brother Rocko. He is a super friendly, happy and sweet dog-I mean look at that face! He knows how to 'sit' and 'lay down' on command (especially when bribed by treats)! He is great with people and other dogs as well.

This is Rocko! He is Clippers brother. He was surrendered to East Valley with his brother. Rocko is a 9 years old pit bull mix. He loves to play fetch and run around. He is very good on a leah and is non reactive to other dogs. He is good with people as well as other dogs. He is a super sweet, gentle and loving personality. He also knows how to sit on command!

Clipper and Rocko are in need of a loving home who can provide them the much needed TLC that they deserve after being abandoned by there owners and stuck in a shelter.

Any amount donated would be greatly appreciated. Please share their story so we can get them into a loving home!

Thank you!
