The Atorkor Development Foundation are raising money in order to complete a classroom building for the village's Early Years and Child Development Centre and every donation will help.

The Foundation is a community based charity/NGO registered in Ghana and in operation since 2001. It is also registered in England and Wales as a Charity with registration number 1120603.
The Foundation has been working to alleviate the extreme poverty, address the high levels of unemployment and the poor educational infrastructure/facilities in Atorkor and the surrounding villages.
Atorkor is a remote coastal village in the Volta Region, about two hours travelling time east of Accra, the capital of Ghana.
We need to raise about £20,000 towards the completion of the building for the village's Early Years and Child Development Centre (Nursery/Kindergarten).
This is because the old building (as shown by the two pictures below) is structurally unsafe with large cracks, leaking roofs and has large class sizes, 70 children per class.
The money raised would be used towards the completion of the ground floor of the 8-unit two-storey building for the Early Years and Child Development Centre (shown below), which has the following outstanding works to be completed:
1) Rendering/plastering including the floor
2) Manufacture and installation of windows & doors.
3) Plumbing works including installation of sanitary ware.
4) Electrical works including wiring, provision and installation of sockets, lights etc.
6) Painting
