Hydrotherapy Pool Maintenance Fund

We are a small school based in Northumberland that is dedicated towards catering for pupils with special needs.
We have a wonderful Hydrotherapy pool which enables us to support our most complex learners with their Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy programmes, these programmes are intensive and when our pupils are in the pool their muscles are more relaxed and the exercises have greater impact. The pool has been run over the years using our Governors Fund and school budget money, however with shrinking budgets and the Governors Fund having run out it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep running our pool which is so important to our learners.
The project is targeted at our most complex learners who can not access a public pool as they are generally to cold and the changing areas and access do not work for our young people. We are hoping that by fund raising we can continue to run our pool for years to come.
What we need:
· Financial help to run the hydrotherapy pool
· Financial help to improve the changing area around the pool
· Financial help to improve the resource
What we will do:
· We will ensure that all pupils that need the pool have access to it at all times
· We will ensure that the changing area is improved to enable staff to change the pupils in the best way possible
· We will ensure that the resources available to enhance the experience the pupils have are the best they can be.
