Update: Thank you for all your amazing donations. Gemma appreciated all your kindness more than you'll ever know and it really did help take a lot of financial pressure off in her last few months. We also managed to tick off a few items from her bucket list!
Gemma passed away peacefully on the 22nd July 2020 in her new husbands arms at Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds.
We are now focussing our efforts on raising much needed funds for the wonderful hospice that cared for Gem.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. We're hoping to raise money to help our amazing friend, Gemma.
Gemma was diagnosed with pelvic cancer in 2018, after a course of radiotherapy and chemotherapy she was given the all clear in January of this year.
Unfortunately after months of back pain an MRI in August showed that tumours were growing on her spine, and had caused her vertebrae to collapse. Its worth pointing out that Gemma hiked up Mount Snowdon to raise funds for Cancer charity, Leeds cares during this time. I don't know many people who could walk up a mountain with a collapsed spine!
After major spinal surgery to replace her vertebrae she has recovered really well. This week however, we have received the devastating news that the tumours on her spine and stomach are secondary cancer and although it can be managed for as long as possible, it is no longer curable.
She will undergo chemotherapy every 3 months from now onwards. As Gemma is self employed she will find it very difficult to obtain contracts due to this this, so will struggle to pay rent and day to day expenses. We would also love to help her tick off some of her items on her bucket list (so far these just include a trip to the wholesalers Country Baskets and a Cher tribute act in Bradford, but I'm sure we can help her come up with a few more ideas!)
Gemma is only 38 and a genuine lovely friend to all she meets, she makes us laugh even through the hard times. We all love her so much, please help us to show her how much she means to us all.
