I would like to appeal to your kind hearts for a little help.
I spent most of my life working in the animation industry. I was an Animator/Director/Designer and over the years I worked in Australia, Taiwan, Korea, China, Germany, France & the Philippines - where I have been based for many years.

I quit animation two years ago. I was a pencil and paper guy and I don’t fit in to the hi-tech methods anymore
I decided to teach English online and it is a comfortable job for me working from home. I teach kids aged 3 - 14 and I love this job. For the last year I have also been dealing with BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia). It is somewhat manageable with herbal supplements but in the last few months it has become worse. Most of the time it’s like peeing razor blades. Quite awful.
As you may know, teaching online is not a path to great wealth but I am happy to just make a living wage. Now with this problem I am in a tough situation. So I learned that there are a few surgery options available to treat this permanently and I am all for it. But I can’t afford it. After some research the whole thing (including a hospital stay of 3 days) will likely cost me over USD$2500 (EUR2200) here in Manila.
Some days, because of the pain, I have to cancel classes. I just can’t work. I have lost a few regular students due to my absences in the past month so now I seem to be going backwards. To say that this surgery will be ‘life changing’ is an understatement. I am quite desperate and hope you can help.
Thanking you in advance and hope I can raise the funds so I can get the procedure ASAP. Then I can get back to teaching full-time. My hope is that eventually I can save some money in the coming months and go to teach live classes in Vietnam. There are many opportunities there and I am very keen.
