Fundraiser for Zabatta Family Tragedy

October 12th, 2019 was a tragic day for the Zabatta family.  What started out as a family vacation in Iceland turned into unfathomable tragedy. The family was involved in a horrific car accident that led to critical injuries to their youngest daughter, Sophia, and the fatality of their beloved son, Zachary.  The entire family is currently hospitalized and it is unclear as to when they will be able to return home.

The Zabattas are a much loved and involved family in the New Hyde Park community.  We are starting this GoFundMe page in an effort to assist a family that has given so much to everyone around them.  The funds that are raised will ease some of the enormous financial burden that lies ahead.  The logistical expenses of being stranded in a foreign country include medical, transport, and funeral costs.  Additional monies raised will be used to create a scholarship fund in Zachary's name.
