Fundraiser for Nick and Emily Leslie

On early Tuesday December 18th around 3:30 am, Emily arrived to the ER due to some contractions and abdominal pain. She was 28 weeks pregnant with her daughter Anna Katherine Leslie. Her husband, Nick, was on duty at the fire station so she drove herself to the hospital.  By around 4 am, the staff at the ER informed her she needed to call her husband to get him to be there. Upon Nick's arrival, they were informed that they could not detect Anna Katherine's heartbeat after using ultrasound, sonogram, and  fetal heartbeat.  Emily would have to deliver Anna Katherine.  Emily was in labor for approximately 50 hours with their daughter.  At 1:27 am on December 20th, Anna Katherine came into the world to be with Jesus.
Emily had to stay one more night in the hospital. She continues to have the physical effects of the infection, in addition to the emotional pain her and Nick are both experiencing right now.  Emily works as a daycare teacher and Nick works as a Cherokee County Firefighter. Nick will be unable to work overtime (which provides a lot of their income) for approximately 8 weeks and Emily will not be returning to work for at least 6 weeks. We ask family and friends of Nick and Emily for any support to help offset costs for counseling, medical expenses, in addition to their living expenses during their time away from work. We would appreciate any prayers and thoughts for Anna Katherine and her parents Nick and Emily.
