Five years Fighting Cancer
Hello Everyone,
My brother Efrain is in the Emergency today September 16, we are told he may need surgery, so send prayers please. We are waiting.
Five years ago, after losing our sister Ofelia to cancer we discovered a couple months later my amazing brother Efrain was told he also had stage four cancer with expected three weeks. As you can imagine it was beyond devastating to hear.
Efrain has been fighting over five years. He’s a fighter, a beautiful soul and my hero. Efrain will not give the C the satisfaction. It’s been a struggle for him, but he never stop smiling or gives in.
It’s painful for us all. Especially his wife Anne, and his two daughters Krista and Kayla. Efrain keep pushing them to keep living as normal as possible. All Efrain wants is to see his girls growing and spend as much time with them, Anne and our mom, dad, brothers and sisters.
Efrain kept working and so did his wife Anne trying to keep life going the best the could. In between the chemo sessions every two weeks and the occasional surgery.
Few months back the last surgery really took so much out of Efrain, it became very hard for him to eat with the sores inside his mouth his weight drastically changed. Now, here we are September 16, my mother and fathers 70th wedding anniversary still Efrain held on but today was so hard... Now we are sitting here in the hospital waiting.
My brother and his family need help.
We never ask for ourselves, Efrain never asked for himself, but I will. For them.
