Hello friends,
My mother, Diana, has had a slew of bad luck.
10 years ago, she had surgery on a ruptured disc. The surgeon did not take out all the pieces of the disc as he was supposed to and after a decade of unnecessary pain, a shard of said rupture buried itself into a nerve in Diana’a spinal cord.
This left her completely immobilized and is how she wound up in the hospital this time.
After 3 weeks of being laid out flat in the hospital, her new surgeon handled her surgery, perfectly.
Surprised to see that what they originally thought was wrong was not the case, but instead this piece of disc that had calcified and nestled in a nerve.
Surgery was the only option and we are so grateful to Dr. Vokshoor for performing the surgery through his foundation, INI.
Due to my mother not having medical insurance, this would not have been possible without the kindness of Dr. Vokshoor and my mother would still be in excruciating pain if it weren’t for his generosity.
Now to why we have a Go Fund Me...
Diana does not have insurance, and the ambulance ride, alone, is $11k
Not to mention the 3 weeks of being in the hospital
Obviously she can’t just go out and start working a bunch, as she is in recovery, and will be so for a while, so we are doing the best we can to help her in this tornado of bad luck.
I know it’s hard out there for all of us, but every little bit helps and myself and our entire family would be so grateful if you could help a little.
Even just sharing this campaign around would help us get the word out ♥️
