Music Therapy Unpaid Internship - Help Needed

Hello, my name is Kayla. I graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Music Therapy. 

I have recently begun my Music Therapy internship this June, 2019.

Unfortunately in the beginning of this journey I was scammed by someone stating I could rent out their apartment. This situation has set me back $1300.00.

This internship is 1000 hours, unpaid, and must be completed in order to be recognized by the CAMT (Canadian Association for Music Therapy) as an accredited Music Therapist. 

I have attempted to get a loan, however with outstanding debt from university I was unable to.

I have also tried government programs such as Fast Forward, but since the CAMT and Catholic Family Services Bureau (the practice I will be doing my internship) are not considered educational institutions, I was denied EI payments.

I am asking for any type of help.

All donations will be used for living costs and transportation for the duration of the internship (6-7 months)

My dream is to be a Music Therapist in the Annapolis Valley and reach as many people as I personally can, and hopefully make a difference.
