Dad's dream fund for his son Tony

$13,251 of $18,000 goal

Raised by 155 people in 4 months
My son Tony Clark, a Palm Springs resident, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on January 26th. It has metastasized to his liver and his oncologist has informed him that there is no cure. Chemotherapy may prolong his life, but surgery or radiation is not an option. He was given two choices with chemotherapy and chose FOLFIRINOX which his oncologist stated that it could prolong his life 11-12 months or hopefully longer. The regimen is Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday's on a bi-weekly basis for the next 6 months.

Tony was working as a barista and unfortunately had to quit his job. He needs support for his living expenses, food, suppliments and transportation. He's very fortunate that he's eligible for some in home services to help with cleaning, laundry, cooking and some transportation.

Tony's quality of life should be good for the next several months and my dream is for him to live life at its fullest while he can. There are many things that he hopes to do and accomplish. I hope this fund will help him fulfill his dreams.

Thank you,
Frank

After being in the hospital since Tuesday and four more pints of blood they finally found one of several Esophageal varices bleeding in my stomach. It has been banded now the trick is to figure out how and where to cauterize them. Eisenhower or UC Irvine? More will be revealed. In the meantime chemo is on hold. Oy Vey. Thank you Eric for the chocolate, help and support. A good steak is sounding really good right now. #squirrel #tiredofbloodtransfusions #itscomplicated #readytogohome #cancersucks

Thank you , Thank you, Thank you
I can’t thank you enough for your generosity and love.

I had my first setback yesterday. I was scheduled to have my second chemo session and it was cancelled due to my blood work. I am scheduled for an IVIG (intravenous immunoglobulin) treatment on Thursday and hopefully it will allow me to do chemo next Monday. It’s disconcerting. I believe things happen for a reason and looking for the good is in my best interest. I’m very grateful for my buddy Eric who pushed me to ask more questions. One of the lessons here is my schedule could change at any minute therefore patience are in order.
Again, thank you.
Tony
