Thanks friends for checking out our GoFundMe. The short film "Formerly Teen Currently Twenty Something Mom" is a satiric coming of age movie with big socially conscious messaging. We follow Stacey and her genius son Zack as they learn through a string of bad decisions how to become mature independent people.
We really believe this film could be a Netflix series and lead to much bigger ventures and you will too after seeing it.
Before asking for donations, I wanted to prove credibility with a super cool and fun film. This is it. I personal have "skin in the game" with my own investment of $5-6K.
The next level: Film Festivals. Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Paul Thomas Anderson, Steven Soderbergh, Ryan Coogler and many more all got the their big starts by going through the film festivals. I want to be next to share my creative vision on a grand scale with 3 other full feature thought provoking scripts that will entertain and challenge the way our culture thinks.
$5000 starts the next level.
$1500-2000 is for film festival entry fees around the world. $500-800 are for our private screening night. $1000 for post production costs. $1500+++ for travel expenses to festivals for networking and sales negotiations. When we exceed the asking amount I'll just pour it backing into more travel expenses.
For the larger donors I can also offer you an original art work by me. You can see a sample of pieces at Jason Kierce the Yoga Artist on FB.
These funds will be use immediately.
About 2 years ago a made a commitment to myself to consciously collaborate more openly and regularly with other people. This film is a direct result of that consciousness. The further success of this project and many others to come is dependent on the creative, collaborative expansion of all of us. This how and why I humbly ask you for your contribution and to share this campaign with everyone you know.
