Fund Chicago Eco House

Tax deductible
The Chicago Eco House is raising money for its 3D printing and flower farm social enterprises which helps at risk youth in the inner city of Chicago. The Chicago Eco House is an award winning nonprofit that has won the UL Innovative Education Award and the Delta Institute Boost Award for its unique approach to poverty and violence reduction as well as environmental and entrepreneurial education. We focus on reaching youth in some of the toughest neighborhoods on the south and west sides of Chicago working with between 60 to 70 youth per week. We are currently in three of these neighborhoods (Englewood, Woodlawn, and West Garfield Park) We are raising money to expand our two flagship youth social enterprises: flower farm and 3D printing.

Flower Farm:

The Chicago Eco House flower farm social enterprise converts vacant city land into income generating and 100 percent sustainable flower farms that provides income for at risk youth, teaches advanced sustainability skills in solar, rainwater catchment irrigation, and horticulture, and adds beauty to the community. Currently, we have one active flower farm with the goal of building two more this summer. Here is what is needed:

$15,000 - Hoop house that will extend the growing season.
$15,000 - Solar panels, pumps, irrigation lines, etc.
$20,000 - Fencing, shed construction, cooler, etc.
$75,000 - hire full time farm manager for three years

3D Printing:
The Chicago Eco House 3D printing social enterprise builds 3D print shops that youth use to learn advanced printing and modeling skills as well as create fashion accessories for market. This generates income for youth while also giving them hands on training in STEM skills. Currently, we have two 3D print shops and we are looking to build two more. Here is what is needed:

$20,000 - Shipping container 3D print shop conversion (3D printers, computers, shipping container retrofit, solar panels, etc.). Below are illustrations of the finished shipping container:

$5,000 - Advertising and marketing for the social enterprise

Thank you for supporting our important mission and every dollar above our goal will enable us to expand to other neighborhoods on the south and west sides of Chicago.
