Beatmania IIDX is a rhythm game that revolutionized the rhythm game genre with it's huge songlist featuring amazing inhouse artists, high skill ceiling and fun gameplay featuring many buttons and two turntables!
The National Videogame Museum is a project of a group of friends that recognize gaming as a huge influence in our society and wish to preserve its legacy. The museum opened up on November the 30th, 2017 with huge success.
We've spoken with the arcade owners who will cover the rest of the costs if we can collect €2000 for the organisation.
Beatmania IIDX has huge historic value for the arcade game community, as the long-running game series that single-handedly kickstarted the entire rhythm game genre as we know it.
This game is popular among hardcore rhythm game enthusiasts all across the world, but cabinets are hard to come by outside of Japan. Obtaining a cabinet for display at NVGM would be huge for the European arcade and game community, as it would be one of the handful of cabs throughout the entire continent at all, and one of the even fewer available to the public!
