Hi folks, thank you for stopping to read this.
In July, Tori and I found out that I have Stage 4 Lung cancer, which has spread to my spine. After a lot of emotional roller-coasters, my clear choice was to do natural healing rather than chemo/radiation. If you've been around me the past several years, you know this fits my beliefs and my life. We found a great doctor, who has me doing a number of amazing therapies and some pretty potent supplements that began to make a huge difference in how I felt, within just a few weeks.
While taking advantage of some fabulous, loving healers, massage therapists and energy workers, the costs of all of this are not covered by my insurance...something I am accustomed to. It has been so clear that stresses make healing more difficult, and I am not accustomed to the dwindled bank account as a result of all of the regular out-go of money. Starting next month, my income will be reduced as I go into my 4th month on disability. The thought of that definitely increases my stress level, even when I try to remain calm and relaxed.

When receiving the news of my diagnosis, so many asked "What can I do to help?" It is not an easy request, but I am swallowing my pride and asking you to consider donating the cost of a cup of coffee, a dinner out, a movie, etc. This would be the greatest help. I am able to get around, to be up and feel pretty good, most days. We don't need cooking or transportation. But I am unable to return to work, and my healing is my full-time job. While a few great friends have helped me out financially, the acculmulation of costs is overwhelming.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I send you love and ask that whether you can help financially or not, please send me and Tori your love. Love heals every body.

Dear Friends and Family, it seems that an update is overdue, so here goes.
Since receiving my diagnosis of metastatic lung cancer in July, we've been going to Dr. Zachary Bush in Scottsville (about 45 minutes from home.) The first thing he wanted to do was get some nutrition into me. We have become Vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free. As a result, Tori and I have together lost over 70 pounds! That alone makes us feel pretty good. I am on Dr. Bush's cancer protocol. I take vitamins and supplements that have been shown to have an impact on the spread of cancer. I take Restore, Asea, drink chaga mushroom tea (which we both love!) I also began a new therapy, Two Feathers Healing Formula on Dec. 4th. It is developed by a Native American Family in Nevada. They have documentation of some pretty astonishing success in healing people of cancers. I hope to be among those numbers soon! While powerful, this formula kicks my butt! It detoxes my body and leaves me often feeling depleted and aching. I expect to take Two Feathers for a year to stabilize the tumors and detox my system and a second year to shrink the tumors.
Dr. Bush recommended that I get a small portable Far Infrared Sauna to help relieve some of the aches and pains. I got it last week, and use it as often as possible. It really does seem to help (and leaves my skin feeling great.)
A new development: my job officially ends on Jan. 30th and so does my insurance, which did a decent job of covering a large portion of the very expensive CT scans (which I will be getting about every 2 months to track my recovery). I will be on long term disability as of Jan. 31 and have had to purchase new insurance out of pocket, and hope it will help offset some of the expense of the office visits and the scans. Traditional insurance does not cover my breathing treatments, the supplements and vitamins, the energy work, the massage all performed by loving and supportive, intuitive healers who help my body and buoy our spirits. (This is the bulk of my recovery!)
The next big news is that Tori and I were married on Halloween, after having to wait 8 months for the Supreme Court to finally give the "OK"! She is a strong, and wonderfully supportive spouse. She has truly embraced the role of Vegan Chef, brews kombucha (yum! and alkalizing to the body), grows sprouts for us to eat and wheatgrass for me to grind into juice. Our food is ALL non-GMO, Organic and Vegan/GF/SF in order to avoid feeding our bodies things that will feed the cancer.
I have days and nights where I feel pretty lousy. I often sleep poorly. But I know it's from the detoxification of my body...likely a decade or more of junk to clean up. We believe I am healing every day. I take a lot of naps. And Tori is patient and loving as I go through weepy times.
Your generosity and gifts touch me and swell my heart with love every time I've gotten a message that I had a new donation! Your assistance through the fund (and otherwise) has allowed us to continue to order the supplements as needed, make appointments with the healers and keep taking the breathing treatments, and other various expenses that arise. No gift is overlooked. We are so grateful. We feel so much love with each gift. And, as I said before, Love Heals EVERY BODY!

Dear friends and family, it seems an update is long overdue! So here goes: Since my original diagnosis of metastatic lung cancer in July, Tori and I have been going to Dr. Zachary Bush, in Scottsville (about a 45 minute ride from home.) His first response was to get some nourishment into me. He started us on a Vegan diet (also gluten free and sugar free). Together since August, Tori and I have lost over 70 pounds! That alone makes us feel better! The next thing was to get me onto a cancer protocol of a series of vitamins and supplements that have been shown to impact the spread of cancer. I take Restore, Asea, mushroom powders, drink chaga mushroom tea (which we really love) and many other things I probably can't recall at this writing.
In November, Dr Bush ordered a CT scan to use as a baseline for charting my progress. He was pleasantly surprised to inform us that the tumor on the spine seemed stable, the largest mass in my right lung had grown 15%, but that 60% of it was dead! So pleased, after only a couple of months on the recovery process! I will be getting CT's about every 2 months to continue to track the recovery. The latest CT was Monday Jan. 26th, and I will relay any updates as it comes in.
Other news is that I am now going to be on Long Term Disability, as of Jan. 31. My job officially ends on Jan. 30th. My insurance ends then as well. So I have had to order new insurance that covers less on the (very expensive) CT scans, and office visits, but hopefully will help somewhat. No traditional insurance pays for my breathing treatments, the energy work, massage, and nutritional supplements that are so key to my recovery. The biggest piece was added on Dec. 4th. I am now taking Two Feathers Healing formula. It is a powerful compound created by a Native American family in Nevada. They have documentation of tremendous success in healing people of cancers. I hope to be among those numbers in the future! Dr. Bush says that I will likely take it for a year to stabilize the cancer, detox my system, and then another year to shrink the tumors.
I have really noticed the detoxification it does. It kicks my butt! I am not too willing to be up and out of the house, I often do not sleep well because of coughing, and I ache almost constantly.
One of the most recent purchases, recommended by Dr. Bush has been a portable Far Infrared Sauna. It came this past week, and I am using it as often as possible. It really does help with the aches and pains.
Other big news is that Tori and I were able to finally get married, after waiting over 8 months for the Supreme Court to give the "OK". We married on Halloween!
Tori has been such a strong, supportive spouse! She has embraced the role of Vegan chef, discovering new and different foods all the time. We eat totally vegan, sugar-free, gluten-free, organic and non-GMO in order to avoid feeding the cancer. Tori also grows sprouts for us to eat, wheatgrass for me to grind into juice, brews Kombucha (yum) for us to drink (very alkalizing to the system) and seems nearly tireless in her loving support of my healing/our Journey together! I am so blessed to have her for a partner.
Your loving support and generosity have kept us afloat thus far. Every time I get a message that someone has donated to the fund, my heart swells with love and gratitude! You cannot know the gift it is to me, to feel the love and support; and to have the freedom to continue to order each supplement when it's needed, and to make appointments with all of the loving, supportive, intuitive healers who work on my body and buoy our spirits. Thank you so much for your hand in this healing Journey! Love really does heal every body.
