FSJ for LNG or Fort St. John for LNG is a grassroots movement I founded when I saw the economy of Fort St. John nosediving due to the low oil and gas prices.

The economy of Fort St. John, just like other communities in  North East BC is resource based, particularly natural gas.

The only way to lift our sagging economy  is to increase the demand or market  for our natural gas.

We care for the environment. Since the Canada Environment Assessment Agency (CEAA) says there is no significant impact on the environment in building the Pacific North West LNG plant, we support this first major LNG plant and the further development of an LNG Industry in Canada. LNG will enable Fort St. John to export BC Natural Gas.

But our advocacy for an LNG Industry is getting resistance from foreign funded "environmentalist" even if Economic needs and Science is on our side. Getting the truth out amidst these well funded groups who does not represent Canadian best interest is not cheap and we need your help.

Visit our page to learn what we have done so far. We gained national attention to our cause though local activities in the North.

Our local community support is solid, but our well-funded opposition has taken the fight to Ottawa. We are appealing for funds so we can counter the opposition in the capital before the decision is made on an LNG Industry.

40,000 real jobs and real people who work to give Canada its hot water and heating during winter need your help. A lot of us have lost real jobs due to this slowdown. LNG industry will save these jobs....

...and 40,000 workers in the North and their families will be grateful for your support.

We still need to go back home :-)

Our convoy of 2 vehicles are now in Ottawa.
4500kms in 8 days with stops in:
Dawson Creek
Grand Prairie
Fox Creek
Edmonton
Red Deer
Calgary
Medicine Hat
Regina
Winnipeg
Ignace
Sault Ste Marie
and finally OTTAWA

We are no longer just North BC...
we were joined by Jason Dubrule of Go Hard and Dion DaSIlva driving his High Artic work truck in Grand Prairie. LNG or Bust now carries the message of Alberta as well as the message of the North BC for LNG groups from Fort Nelson to Kitimat

To Justin, his cabinet, and the Federal Government, we have this urgent message:

"We represent the unemployed and under-employed workers of North BC and Alberta whose friends and families are affected by delayed decision on the Pacific North West LNG, and the Oil and Gas pipelines that will bring our resources to market. We think the human side is being lost in the economic numbers and environmental politics.

If our federal government knew how hard it is for individuals and their families they would realize how urgent it is to cut through the politics and help get projects approved

Most of us are from Fort St. John BC where it used to be that anybody who wants to work could find work. Now unemployment in Fort St. John is the highest in British Columbia. The need for action on the part of government is urgent.

We are just regular people but we think if people like us tell the government through our convoy or social media or by signing our petition that they will see how important these energy projects are to individuals and communities.

We read all the time about how our industry has environmental problems like fracking but we live with gas wells right by us and we know how its safely done. We are confident that clean BC natural gas will more than offset the entire Canadian green house gas production wherever they are used overseas. We are proud to work in an industry that cares so much about worker safety and protecting the environment. We think Canadian oil and gas are the best and we should make sure they are available for other places . "

Warm send-off event at the Pomeroy Sports Center in FSJ that saw attendance of over 30 people including MLA Pat Pimm and Mayor Lori Ackerman. A convoy of cars and work trucks saw us off beyond the FSJ City limits.
Thank you FSJ, we will deliver the message that North BC is suffering due to the delays in approval of an LNG Industry in Canada. As a laid off worker, I relate to the more than 10% unemployed citizens of the north and the many more independent contractors that have no work contracts.
Our parking lots are filled with idle equipment, our families are suffering, yet out federal government's indecision is indifferent to our human suffering.
We embark on this journey so Canadians living in cities and our federal leaders take notice
We are not asking for dole outs, a simple YES to LNG will bring our Northern Economy back to life...even better than it was before
YES to Canadian OIL and GAS
YES to LNG!!!

Thanks to Doug Young and TrimTek, the sides of the bus will look like this.

Once too low for statistics agencies to report, unemployment in Northeast B.C. climbed for seven months in a row to 9.7 per cent. This would be higher if you take into account the independent contractors without work contracts.

This is why I created FSJ for LNG and this is why we need an LNG Industry in Canada. We need to create new markets for BC natural gas and bring back unemployment rate to almost zero.

FSJ for LNG is embarking on an LNG or Bust trip to drive our message to Canadians and the lawmakers in Ottawa of the job market condition in North BC.

Say YES to LNG !
Thanks to Doug Young and TrimTek
