Raising Hope

As some of you know my husband Ellis Pauly became very sick rather suddenly last July.  We spent the next month and half going to the doctor almost every other day trying to figure out what was wrong and treat the various symptoms that came up. During these events his vision was reduced to only slightly better than legally blind, his pancreas completely shut down making him and instant Insulin diabetic, and several other serious medical issues.

Unfortunately, at this time his status has not changed, he has good and bad days and is still very sick but dealing with everything as it comes.  We do know that a virus is the major cause for the medical problems and with more testing and treatment we are still hoping to find a way to beat all the signs and symptoms.

Ellis has worked as a Paramedic for more than 30 years. He has worked in and around Eastern North Carolina and Overseas in various roles (Navy Corpsman, Military Contractor, Overseas Contractor, 911, Critical Care, SWAT, Instructor)  Anyone that knows him is well aware of how much he loves being a Paramedic and what it must mean for him to not be able to do what he truly loves to do. He remains positive and determined to find a way to get back to work and rejoin the profession his is so passionate about.

Any and all donations will go to helping with medical bills, treatments, testing, and improving Ellis’ quality of daily living.
