Ajutor pentru Gratiano Dinu!

On August 1st, 2019, Gratiano Dinu, a Romanian university student came with a J1 work and travel visa and professional ice skater, was tragically hit by a drunk driver while on his way home from work. He was admitted to the Atlantic City Medical Hospital, where he was in critical condition, fighting for his life. After 2 weeks of hospitalization in intensive care, the doctors decided to discharge him (despite the poor health conditions) After Gratiano's discharge, he was left with short term memory issues and does not remember anything since the accident. He sustained a fractured bone on his right elbow, and has blurred vision in his left eye. Along with this, he suffers from severe headaches and dizziness in the morning after waking up, causing him to be unable to keep his balance or walk. Swelling in his left knee causes pain that makes walking over long distances difficult. He is still unfit for work and now lives at his former address in New Jersey, along with his mother Aida Ramona Dinu.They are now left to face this tragedy by themselves. The little money they obtained from work and donations was spent on visits to the doctors, appointments for medical investigations, food, rent, and bus transportation to the Atlantic City clinics. Gratiano still has a long road to making a full recovery. He still needs medical investigations and therapy for all of his ongoing medical condition. His mother, and only family, does not have the financial resources necessary to support the expenses of his recovery. She took unpaid time off from her job teaching in Romania to take care of Gratiano. Those who understand his struggle can help him make a full recovery and continue living as he once had.
