Uganda Hands of Action Feeding Program

My name is Jennifer Anderson and I am a volunteer with Hands of Action Uganda. I have been partnering with Moses Khaukha of Bududa District Uganda to help him to find a way to feed the hungry, severely malnourished children of his village in the mountains of Uganda. Moses has started a program that feeds 370 children a day...this is generally the ONLY meal these children eat. The cost is only 1o cents per child per meal, so $37 will feed the entire group for a day!
I visited his village in Jan 2012 (then again in Jan 2013), where I met and fell in love with these children and with Moses and his family. After my visit, I vowed to work hard to find partners to come along side Moses and his village to provide money to sustain this feeding program until a long term solution is found.
Moses and I along with leaders in his community are working on a way for his village to feed these children without relying on foreign aid and charity, but this will not happen overnight. They are very motivated to become self sufficient, and we have hopes that they will be able to fully take over the expenses of the feeding program within 24-36 months!
NO donation is too small. It all adds up! Please consider giving a one time gift, or even consider partnering with us by pledging a monthly gift. Each month we need to raise $1190 ($1140 food, $50 transfer fees, Gofundme fees and Paypal fees) to feed the kids. IF WE RECEIVE MORE, then the extra goes to the feeding program CHICKEN project..because eventually this village will be able to manage without our assistance if they have resources such as a chicken program!
