Winner of the 2018 University of Denver Daniels College of Business Social Capital Award, “Bubbles Can’t Hold Rain” is a transformative tale that explores isolation and the necessity that Wheezie Stevens feels to seek support beyond her comfort zone. Inspired by children diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, the story encourages all children to reach out for help when their bubbles feel too full and there isn’t room to breathe. With the intention of self-publishing, and donating books to inpatients at Children’s Hospital Colorado and Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh, Bubbles Can’t Hold Rain raised over $7,000 through a GoFundMe campaign to support illustrations, design and printing.

*Copies for purchase will be available to the general public after our commitment to donations is fulfilled.

Thank you!

Hi Friends of Wheezie!

Just wanted to give you a quick update on Wheezie! Last week we attended the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustators Conference here in Denver! We met and heard from so many creators and re-energized our creative flow.

Wheezie is soon-to-be be laid out with final decisions on cover art and we are busy with back-end business items on the to-do list.

Meantime, Jenny was recently featured in “The Moms Issue” of Reign Magazine as a “mother of invention” and had the opportunity to contribute a deeply personal essay about being a mother with CF and shared a bit more about Wheezie.

If you’d like to read the article and follow along with regular updates please join our adventure on instagram www.instagram.com/WheezieStevens or @wheeziestevens

Thanks again for your continued support! All of this fun and inspired work wouldn’t be possible without your contributions!

Xoxo
