Friends of Scituate Recreation Inc

The Friends of Scituate Recreation Inc is a 501c3 charitable organization that was formed in 1985 for the purpose of raising and managing donated funds for the additional support of programs, services and activities conducted through the Scituate Recreation Department.  From 1996 to 2015, the PJ Steverman Golf Classic was the primary fundraiser that carried the organization and made available the funds needed to support many programs, services and activities for Scituate Recreation.  After 20 years and over $300K of fundraising, the Steverman Family has  made the decision to retire the PJ Steverman Golf Classic at it's 20th year. 

We are seeking donations for the repair/revamp if the PJ Steverman Inline Hockey Rink located at Scituate High School.  The rink was a gift to the town when PJs search was over.  The funds remaining for the search effort were used to construct the rink over 20 years ago and after years of use, the place needs a facelift

May 18, 2019 there will be a Hockey Tournament hosted by FOSR in an effort to raise additional funds for the rink. Follow our facebook page for up to date information - Friends of Scituate Recreation
