Friends of Brilliant Star is a not for profit group formed to assit the needs of children at the Brilliant Star School in the Solomon Islands.
The school has multiple needs from the classrooms that urgently need improving, creating a safe learning environment, the lack of water and hygenie facillaties as well as basic educational materials.
Roofs are leaking so children can not attend school when its raining.
This is just one classroom
The well
After discussions with the school it was decided the first need was to get a generator and power tools, sheets of roofing, wood and nails and this would allow them to start improving the buildings.
3 water tanks are required so the children can have fresh drinking water.
The third thing we felt would assist is to send a container out of Brisbane with donated school materials that are not available in the Solomon's.Cost for that alone is $5000.
This is a most ambitious fund raiser for us but these children are in need ,Please help them to have an education.
