OUR CAUSE

These animals are the children of a lesser god....unsung, neglected, abused and forgotten. We Provide Love, care and above all respect to all forms of life irrespective of form or size. We will work tirelessly to end the suffering by; feeding ,neutering and caring for stray dogs, cats, monkeys, mules & other work animals. We face stiff opposition everyday from a wide spectrum of people who are intolerant of any form of kindness toward the voiceless. Which has only heightened our desire to provide a safe haven for helpless animals of this town. When compassion takes wings, it soars relentlessly to the limitless skies.


WHAT WE DO

For the dogs, cats & working animals in the Rishikesh area, we would like to buy a small plot which we will build a small permanent clinic that pays a wage to two local vets that will provide de-sexing /spaying/neutering & emergency care cases which until now is unavailable for here. The land will also provide Free roaming fro mules who have been abandoned after a life of intense labouring. In addition to providing “family planning” procedures f& shelter for animals, we will also provide “On Street Care” be vaccinating against rabies, distemper, parvo and treating for any other medical issues they come in with, whether that be mange, worms and broken bones. We will also provide care and an adoptee system for dogs and cats with irreparable damage such as paralysis.


THE BENEFITS

• Slows down the constant tragic cycle of birth and death of new litters
• Greatly improves the health and longevity of all the dogs & cats immediately by stabilizing the population of dogs & cats in the Rishikesh area
• This means there will be more space and more food available for each dog & cat, and thus less fights which lead to infected wounds and even death.
• Without the constant strain of breeding, pregnancy, and motherhood, female dogs & cats will live easier, healthier lives.
• The increased aggressiveness associated with breeding in male cats & dogs – which leads to fights – will end.
• Diseases which greatly affect stray dog populations, such as the sexually-transmitted Transmissible Venereal Tumor (TVT), will cease to be sprea
• Eradicates the risk and spread of rabies through dogs.
• Provide a warm safe environment for animals who need critical care.
• The land will give respite to animals who a life of abuse only for the benefit of human beings.


OUR FUTURE

What I see in the future? We would like to start a collaboration between veterinary doctors and local orphanages to teach children about the benefits of relationship animals and the possibility of veterinary science as a Career.

There is a growing industry ready to take off now that the westernization of India has arrived people are now starting wanting pets!
