200lbs Lost, Need Plastic Surgery

Over the course of 18 months I have lost 200lbs, 13 pant sizes, 6 shirt sizes, and 20 inches from my middle. This extreme weight loss has left me with a lot of excess skin, especially around my midsection. Health and fitness have become part of my daily routine, and the excess skin gets in the way. Also, I’m going to start having skin breakdown (skin on top of skin, no chance for the skin to breathe, not good). I’m training for a marathon, I’ve completed the Earth Day 2018 half marathon. Everything would be so much better without the excess skin! Insurance has denied my request for plastic surgery. Per my surgeon, getting insurance to pay for plastic surgery is difficult, as they see the procedures as elective/cosmetic, and not necessary. These surgeries are necessary, and are the last step to completely freeing people from the prisons of their bodies. Doing all that work, and still feeling like a prisoner of your body is a terrible feeling! I have shared my journey since day 1 on social media, and several people have suggested that I start a campaign for the plastic surgery I need. I’m going to expand on that idea, and not only raise money for myself, but help as many people as possible. There are many, many, many people who are in the same position I am. I personally know 2 of these people. Let’s start an endless kindness chain, and release people from the prisons of their bodies. The ultimate goal is that this campaign never really ends, so as many people as possible can be helped. I will post pictures of my and other’s surgeries to let everyone know what this campaign is doing for people. I want this campaign to show insurance companies that these surgeries are needed by so many, and that they are necessary surgeries.
