Free 2 Be Me Dance

Free 2 Be Me Dance is a unique adaptive dance program in the Los Angeles area for children and adults with Down syndrome that was founded in 2009 by Colleen Perry, Marriage and Family Therapist. Down syndrome is a serious developmental disability that presents many intellectual and physical challenges to individuals affected. Adaptive dance offers many benefits to the participants, from learning opportunities to physical fitness to social skills development to emotional health. Free 2 Be Me Dance was created to offer an atmosphere to develop each dancer’s self confidence and self esteem as well as to foster an environment which focuses on their abilities and special gifts. For the past 7 years we have been experiencing significant positive outcomes in our dancers.
We currently offer Ballet, Tap and Hip Hop classes in Los Angeles and Orange County. 

Free 2 Be Me Dance is a tax-exempt 501(c) 3 organization AI #ON 33-0418444.  Our program runs on the kindness and generosity of individuals and businesses like yours in the community.  We pride ourselves in NEVER turning a dancer away for lack of finances.

-Scholarships for dancers
-Gym equipment for our young dancers
-Music liscensing fees for our public performances
-Costumes for performances
-Rehearsal space rentals
