Franco's Cancer Treatment Fund

In 2004, my beloved father Franco Gallinaro, was diagnosed with a rare form of stage 4 abdominal cancer called pseudomyxoma peritonei. This type of cancer produces a jelly-like substance called mucin, which is slow growing, but very vicious and attaches itself to all the abdominal organs, including the appendix, gallbladder, liver, spleen, colon, intestines, and rectum.

My father went to see the foremost specialist in the world for this type of cancer. The doctor’s prognosis was grim, giving him two to three years to live, with the only chance of potentially prolonging his life would be to undergo a radical surgery that would remove parts of all the vital organs previously mentioned above, then perform an intensive heated chemotherapy treatment called profusion to burn away any remaining cancer cells, and finally he would have to undergo a two-week IV chemotherapy regime. The doctor told him that he had a 33% chance of dying either on the operating table or shortly afterwards due to excessive bleeding, staph infection, or other complications. He was told that this treatment would not cure him or kill the cancer, but that it might only buy him a little more time. However, if he did survive longer then two to three years he would have to undergo the surgery and the entire chemotherapy procedures again because the cancer would never stop growing. My father chose not to undergo the surgery or chemotherapy, but instead began researching alternative treatment protocols using only natural remedies that the good Earth has provided. My father is a man of great faith, who believes that all things are possible with God, and that the body can heal itself if you provide it with what it needs. He began holistic treatment using various natural remedies and has been living with cancer for 14 years.

For those of you who know my pops, you know that he is a strong and very proud man of Italian and German descent. He is a man of strength, but foremost a man of love. He is a warrior of truth and justice, with a heart of gold, and has an undying love for all humans and creatures. My father has taught me to have a thirst for adventure and wisdom, to embrace life with unrelenting love and faith, and to appreciate beauty, but to be a woman of power. I’m the woman I am today because of the strength and love my father has shown me.  My father is never one to complain about his health despite the great pain and discomfort he feels daily. He has always sacrificed what he has for the love of his family, and for others - always putting everyone else's needs before his own. My dad's health has been noticeably declining these past few years due to the slow, continuous, and vicious cancer growth. Sadly, the cancer has compromised my father’s health traumatically to the degree where he had to leave his job working as an educator, where he taught at-risk children with special needs and autism. Due to the current state of my father’s declining health and being forced to take time off from work to focus on regaining his health, my father has not been able to financially provide for my mom or his needs while on medical disability, and he has been unable to cover the continued cost of his holistic treatments. Being a man who has always been actively working to provide a happy life for his family, he can no longer do so because this cancer is jeopardizing his life. It is now time for my father to put himself first, so I’m asking anyone who is willing to help, to please contribute so that my dad can pay for the cost for his alternative treatments.

I have been living in Vancouver for the past three and half years, and when I went back to visit my family in Palm Springs this past November 2017, my parents picked me up from the airport and I couldn't help but cry when I saw how severely my dad's health has diminished. It was the first time in 14 years that it was very apparent that my father has cancer. It broke my heart to see my father in this condition. Once a man of immense energy, muscle, and strength, was a man standing before me of skin and bones and a huge distended abdomen from the cancer. I saw a man in pain, who is suffering - an image of a man I did not recognize. Despite his relentless strength, love, and joy he exudes, my father is not one to ask for help or money, and that is why I'm asking on his behalf. I would like to raise $17,120 for my father, to cover the entirety of his alternative treatment plan!

In seeking out holistic and alternative treatment protocols, my father was first lead to the Bio-Medical Center in Mexico, where he has been using the Hoxsey tonic, along with other natural herbs to strengthen his immune system and detoxify the body. He has also been using another herbal tonic from Ecuador called BIRM, (Biological Response Modulator), which is derived from plants and herbs from the Ecuadorian rainforest. These tonics are essential for him to stay strong, but for my dad to completely eradicate his cancer, he needs to be on an intense oxidative therapy using ozone, along with other holistic and alternative procedures. My father found an alternative treatment center call The Optimal Health and Wellness Center in Pasadena, California, which treats his type of cancer, and where he will be undergoing a six-month specialized treatment plan. This treatment plan will include a protocol called Ozone therapy. A fundamental cause of cancer is oxygen depletion. Thus, a highly effective and successful way to rid the body of cancer is by flooding the body with ozone. Ozone selectively kills cancer cells, and when ozone is directed to the diseased area, cancer cells are forced to go into apoptosis, and they die off. There are several ways of utilizing ozone therapy. My father had a personal consultation with Dr. Lee, who recommended a six-month intensive treatment plan, which is as follows:

1. Intravenous Ozone: which is medical grade ozone gas mixed with the patient’s drawn blood and then infused back into the person. $250 per treatment, twice a month. $3,000 for six months.

2. Rectal Insufflation: essentially, an ozone enema. This would be something my father will have to administer at home using an ozone generator. Ozone Generator kit $1025; medical grade oxygen tank $150; plus, monthly refills $100.  $1,775 for six months.

3. Ozone Submersion: soaking ozone in through the epidermis by means of heated ozonated water. Also, drinking ozonated water continuously throughout the day. This treatment would be done at home daily. Ozone Submersion kit $1995; medical grade oxygen tank $150; plus, monthly refills $100.  $2,745 for six months.

4. Ozone Injections: Direct injection into the cancerous tumors. $75 per injection, six per month. $2,700 for six months.

5. Intravenous High Dose Vitamin C: $250 once a month. $1,500 for six months.

6. Intravenous Immune Support: $250 once a month. $1,500 for six months.

7. Oral Autoimmune Support: various vitamin and mineral oral supplementation. $650 a month.
$3,900 for six months.

This treatment plan will cost $17,120; the doctor believes there is an excellent chance to completely eradicate his cancer. Of course, in life there are no guarantees, but with over 100 years of ozone therapy research, which includes thousands of scientifically and medically document studies to support the effectiveness of ozone therapy, my father and family believe this is the most effective holistic treatment my father can receive.  Whatever donation you can make truly matters.
