Family Tragedy

In 38 years of teaching and coaching I've been lucky and only had one student athlete lose a loved one  during our time together as athlete and coach.  I can't imagine how they make it through every day as the situation worsens.  But I know that as the time for healing comes and financial realities become a part of that everyday life, they'll need our help.  This situation involves one of the kindest, sweetest, hard working kids I've ever known and I want to try and help them in some small way.  Whether you're a former Lakewood member, a former high school athlete or coach, or just one of the many caring people that I consider a friend, please consider helping in some small or big way. 
This situation and individual is definitely deserving of our compassion and caring.  My goal is to keep the specifics out of this to protect their sense of privacy. Thank you.
