Funeral expenses

This is my Mother, she has Stage 4 terminal uterine cancer that has metastasized.  The doctors have given her less than 5 months to live from the cancer, however, she has had many complications. She spent the last month in UCSF, now discharged home on hospice. Due to the complications they expect her to pass before the expected 5 months. She has infections due to the complications,  surgery is no longer an option and neither are antibiotics. 
We don't have the funds to cover extra expenses and then pay for the upcoming funeral.  We just lost my father to cancer this past August. This was out of the blue for my mother. 
I just want to take care of her, I've had to take a leave of absence from work and I'm out of paid family leave due to taking care of my father this past summer.
I don't like asking for help, I just don't have other options.
