Give back to Forgotten Alberta

Donation protected
The award-winning Forgotten Alberta project, founded by Jonathan Koch, has told the stories of the forgotten pioneer era people and places of southeastern Alberta, Canada since 2009.

Attributed content from Forgotten Alberta has appeared in dozens publications and local histories, and has been used by several authors without attribution, all free of charge, for the benefit of those who are interested in Alberta history.

During this time, Jonathan has spent countless hours researching and generating content, and has received inquiries from dozens of individuals looking for information about their own family's history. Jonathan has responded to every request, and has spent many hours, free of charge, digging through online and archival sources to helping people discover more about their rural roots.

Funded completely out of pocket, it is estimated the annual cost of  operating the Forgotten Alberta project  is close to $1000. These expenses include web hosting fees, travel costs and expenses while on the road researching or chronicling the forgotten people and places of southern Alberta's Badlands region, as well as equipment upgrades and other expenses related to Forgotten Alberta.

If you have enjoyed the Forgotten Alberta project, have benefitted from the information contained within, or have been helped by Jonathan on your quest to learn more about your family history, please consider a donation.

Thank-you!
