Let me start by saying the decision to create a Go Fund me account was not made lightly, but as a family we felt this would give people a chance to help financially, per request, out of the goodness of their hearts; in order to contribute to giving Russell's son Shane a bright future.  No monetary value will replace what has been lost but it will help a broken family provide for a little boy with something to look forward to and be successful when the time comes. Unfortunately with the loss of Russell, Shane's dad, as well as his Mom Sarah, March of this year; the Mesito family have been put in a situation where not only are they mending broken hearts, but preparing a life as normal as possible for Shane. There was no funding such as a college fund, or life insurance policy left by either parent, in order to help with finances or more importantly Shanes' future. For many of you who know, and many do not, Russell went missing at sea on his commercial fishing boat the early morning of June 15th, 2019,  Father's Day. A very early call from Coast guard that morning, stating they were trying to locate and piece together the circumstances and timeline in order to quickly locate Russell and bring him to safety. Unfortunately, at the end a very long week following this tragedy the family is still left with little answers or not much closure; they are still full of hope and just asking for help in order to do what's best for their family and most importantly, Shane. Any contribution is appreciated but not expected. Just sharing this story and keeping Russell's memory alive is all that could truly be asked. Thank you for any donation or words of encouragement through this very difficult time, and helping us in making sure Shane is given the opportunity to succeed while his parents watch him from above.
