For Danialle Cavanaugh

Thank you family and friends for visiting this wonderful Go Fund Me account This account was made for my friend Danialle to have that one last opportunity of becoming a mother with the man she loves.

Here is their story....

Danialle and Oscar grew up together as next door neighbors for 22 years. As many childhood friends they had a bond like no other. Getting into trouble and causing their parents to grow gray hair too soon.

In 2000, while in high school they finally took that step to become boyfriend and girlfriend and they never left each other's side from that day on. Just like every young couple they had dreams, achieved goals together and always supported one another. They even got a dog together in January 2002 named Bailey a Dogue de Bordeaux, this was their baby.

After coming to the realization of his love Oscar knew that he wanted to be with Danialle forever so he proposed to her on her birthday, February 22, 2009 while on a ski trip to the White Mountains.

While wedding plans and arrangements went underway for their dream destination wedding to Jamaica Oscar became ill. After visiting the emergency room for back and abdominal pain on three separate occasions with two different diagnoses's the one they got the third time changed their lives forever. What was thought to be back pain or a muscle strain was testicular cancer. He was diagnosed on May 12, 2011. After many test it was determined to be at stage 4, as it had spread to the abdomen and brain. Oscar needed aggressive treatment and surgery immediately. Knowing that they wanted to have children in the future they made the decision to collect "samples" for the future they had always planned on having. Oscar went to surgery as planned the next day. He did well; he was strong and was fighting to go on. It was determined that the tumor in the abdomen and lungs had not shrunk down enough. On May 31st, he began 10 weeks of chemotherapy. August 31st he began chemo at the Mayo Hospital and on September 6th, he had a stem cell transplant. Things were looking great and he was released from the hospital September 16th. On September 30th, right before being admitted for his second stem cell transplant, Bailey had to have emergency GDV surgery because his stomach had flipped. The surgery was successful and they headed back to the Mayo Hospital for the transplant. It went very well and he was discharged early, just in time to celebrate his 31st birthday and Halloween at home with family. On November 22nd Oscar underwent an 8 hour surgery where they removed 20 tumors in the lung and the massive tumor in the abdomen. The next day, Danialle walked in to ICU and he was smiling. He had such an infectious smile. In December, the setbacks started coming. He got pneumonia on the 6th and suffered a stroke right after Christmas caused by a bleed in the brain. Oscars had partial paralysis of his left side but continued to fight. He did rehab and was able to walk again with a cane. Well things were looking up. He was discharged from the hospital on February 6th in remission and walked out of there on his own! But on February 10th, their dog Bailey now 10 years old got ill and died suddenly of a brain aneurysm. They were heartbroken. The heartache continued. They returned to the Mayo Hospital at the beginning of March to find that the cancer had returned. It was attacking the lungs and he had swelling in the brain. The plan was to start aggressive chemo. On March 10th a month after Bailey's passing Oscar lost the battle. Danialle was holding him in the hospital bed while he passed. Both of their parents and 2 of his brothers were present at that time. And through this all Danialle never left his side. She had slept in the hospital bed with him most nights during all of his treatments he had went through. They never got the chance to exchange wedding vows, have children or do all those forever moments they dreamt about for the past 12 years that they were together. And if things couldn't get any worse on February 11th 2013 Danialle suffered another loss, the passing of her father. As heart breaking as all of this is Danialle still is trying to make hers and Oscar's dreams come true. With all the heart ache she endures she is still determined to have that family. That same year Danialle went through a fertility doctor, there were only 8 vials of Oscar's "samples" but after three failed heartbreaking attempts to get pregnant through intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) these three failed attempts have used 6 of those 8 vials. With one last hope for the last 2 vials in-vitro is her final and only option. This is where I need all of your help. Danialle has never asked for help financially from anyone with her situation. She is too proud. She will work over time non-stop if she has to. As beautiful and strong willed as she is she has captured our hearts with her determination, hope and strength. I ask that you please help us give her that support that she needs financially to make this dream come true without the struggle of having to do it on her own. If anyone deserves the chance to have a family with the one they love the most, it's her.
