Tony and Amy are those honest, goodhearted, hardworking people most people see as the average family. But they are not your typical family; Tony is a Marine and Gulf War veteran, he is honorable, strong, caring and brave. Amy is a Marine’s wife; determined, loving and every bit the warrior. In 2012 they were thrown into the most difficult battle of their lives; Tony was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer with a life expectancy of six months. Five years later, this warrior still stands fighting this battle with his comrade wife, Amy, on the front line. Through medical appointments, cancer treatments and uphill battles, they have fought, struggled and survived, overcoming obstacles with their love and determination.
A true Marine, Tony fights the cancer while Amy fights right beside him to keep him healthy, strong and up to the challenge. Also, like a Marine, they never complain, they don’t ask for help, they just keep fighting. Their love is beautiful and amazing. It has allowed them to defy the odds. A six month life expectancy has extended to over five years. Amazingly, Tony has continued to work through it all. However, recent treatment has increased the medical appointments frequency, therefore, both have missed work days. Unfortunately, loss of work is strapping them with mounting expenses. They are faced with financial challenges no one should have to face, especially one who has served our country.
This GoFundMe page is set up in the hopes of alleviating some of the burden. The proceeds raised will keep their mounting and continuous bills from ballooning any further and allow their focus to remain where it should, on their FIGHT! Please help support Tony and Amy! Let’s show them that love really does matter and that there is still honor and humanity for others in this world.
