For the Love of Mirage

Donation protected
Brittany, Eric, Alexis (Smith), and fur sister Mirage have been part of our Silver Lining for Pit Bulls family since December 2012. Mirage was a dog who had been adopted multiple times. When this family met her, they instantly knew that she was perfect for them. Mirage was adopted for the fourth time and is is so loved in her forever home! Last year, Eric became very ill. He had never had any health problems and received the devastating news that he had kidney disease. He almost died. He was blessed and was able to have a kidney transplant. Mirage was by his side supporting him the whole time. They were hopeful that things would look up after his transplant. They did not ask for help from anyone. Unfortunately, the family received news that nobody wants to hear. Their landlord gave them 30 days notice to leave their home that they had rented for years. The house was selling. Many people, faced with this situation, would outreach to a rescue group and surrender Mirage. It is very difficult to find a home quickly, let alone with a bully breed dog like Mirage. They would and did not do this. Mirage is part of the family and they would never leave her behind, no matter what.  Since that point they have been staying in dog friendly hotels. This is a huge cost. All of their belongings are split between two storage units. Their life has been completely turned upside down again. They still have not asked forhelp. We are pleading for our friends, family, fellow rescue workers, and dog lovers to help this family. They were able to find a place that would allow Mirage, however, they are in desperate need of help. They still have not asked anyone for assistance. The Silver Lining family would love to be able to help them. In order to move into their new home, they are required to put a large amount of money down including a large security deposit because Mirage is a bully breed. They are in need of financial assistance as soon as possible, or they will lose this chance to have a new home. We are praying that we can raise $3,500 for them. I personally think that a family that is so dedicated to a dog that no one else wanted should be helped.
