FOR THE INOUYE FAMILY | KRYSTEN INOUYE

Last year my wife's high school friend, Harold Gibson, reached out and said he wanted his nephew Tyler to come up here (he's originally from Hawaii). Tyler loves Jiu Jitsu and while he was training up here he could think about his future. As I got to know Tyler I saw a world of potential. He was hard working and above all else just a very good kid. When he was home for Christmas, I reached out and gave him the opportunity to run Grapplers Connection, it was going to be a hard job but he was excited for the challenges ahead. As I would come to find out, Tyler and his family have always embraced  lifes challenges.

His return back up here was postponed for awhile because his sister Krysten got sick. At first they thought it might be the flu but as it progressed they knew it was much worse. Krysten has had heart problems her whole life and has had numerous surgeries growing up. Tyler eventually made it back up here and in the following month, his sister did as well but for much different and more serious reasons. 

On Friday June 21st Kyrsten Inoue underwent her 4th and most intricate heart surgery to date at Stanford.  It's been one uphill climb after another and each time she charged that hill with courage and faith. Krysten means the world to everyone she has ever met and is her fathers inspiration and Tylers best friend.

 It was a difficult surgery and Krysten remains in ICU, although everyone is hopeful it does not look well at the moment. Prayers help, don't ever stop praying but prayers don't buy plane tickets, pay doctor bills and alleviate the financial burdens of life.  This go fund me is for Krysten and her family, to help them in this difficult time and to let them know they are truly loved. Anything helps, and is greatly appreciated.
