LOCAL BASSPLAYER NEEDS YOUR HELP!

David Hufstedler, a respected Hampton Road’s bassplayer for over 50 years, has been recently diagnosed with prostate cancer complicated by complete renal (kidney) failure. He has had several surgical procedures and is now using a Nephrostomy (Renal Catheter) to urinate.
Dave is not able to work, and he needs your help with funding for costs of living and medical bills, including doctor visits, hospital stays, and chemotherapy.
Most recently Dave has recorded with Mark Rogers, Luca Burgalassi, Who We Are Not, Evan Button, Jeremy Parks and others. He currently plays with DH4, Little Doors, Who We Are Not, Luca Burgalassi, Ron Fetner and Russell Scarborough, and he hopes to be well enough in the future to resume his playing schedule.
Not only is Dave an incredible musician, but he is a good friend to many. Another musician, in sending his regards, said this of Dave: “He’s one of the best guys ever, including mentor and coach.”
Dave Hufstedler is a professional musician because he loves what he does, and playing music was never about money or fame. He has worked many jobs over the years to make ends meet, and has most recently worked with the great folks at Music Go Round.
Any amount that you can donate will be dedicated to Dave’s medical and cost of living expenses. Your donation is greatly needed (and will be greatly appreciated) in this time of crisis.
