For my lil Roxanne's Surgery

Hi all :) My name is Heather. I am a mother of 3 beautiful children who has decided to open, up and bring you into our story. I'd like to start by introducing you to the one of my kids that this regards.

This is Roxie.
Roxie is almost 3 years old. She was born with Syndactyly and Polydactyly. For those who do not know what those mean, she was born with extra fingers and toes. In her case she doesn't have opposable thumbs, and instead has an index finger in their place.  Her extra toes are fused together. Apart from that she, like her siblings (4 year old sister and 6 month old  brother) is a very happy Idaho born little one.

Unlike her siblings however, Roxie has to go through corrective surgeries to help her pursue her own path in life to the best of her abilities. Surgeries that are located out in Salt Lake City, Utah. Luckily the Shriners specialist there have experience with similar surgeries and come highly recommended.

Unfortunately our first trip to Utah from Idaho left us with tighter finances with our vehicle overheating and on its last leg. That being just for the initial process of introducing the doctors to her condition and introduction to Shriners facility.

Looking ahead to more diagnostic visits plus the spread out surgeries, with the combined overall financial toll plus with an unreliable car for the trips. It's becoming clear we won't be able to manage this on our own no matter how much we budget.

After delaying a bit, her appointments have become more critical as it's recommended that she has her surgeries sooner than later so she can properly adjust. 

As parents we are doing everything we can to provide for our little ones. On top of that my husband has his own medical problems concerning his heart and next year they will also be sending him out to Intermountain Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah for his 2nd heart operation. They say things happen in 3s. Ours happen to be unreliable car, medical travels out of state, and being financially unable to go.

This has become very hard for us. As no one ever sees themselves asking others for help,  And to ask strangers to help you provide for your own children's care is difficult to say the least.

Why we're here: 

Were in desperate need of funds to purchase a reliable used vehicle.

We are aware and hope to again use some of the programs that will help with some of our journeys expenses.

However as Roxie's specialists are only available once a month, and only come as close to us as Utah, plus the need for several visits for these surgeries including follow ups. Add to that our family size and limited ability to leave work. We can not accomplish this without reliable, timely, on demand transportation :/  

Surgeries needed: 

- Her extra digits will need to be shortened at the bone, plus rotated to become opposable. (thumbs)

- Toes will also be reconstructed at the bone.

- Plastic surgeon will assist with reconstruction of toes. 

- Continued Physical Therapy

As she has 1 of these surgerys scheduled in the next few months, we have a dire need to properly repair or replace our vehicle or even some assistance with anything that will help us save and prepare for this jouney.

We can't even explain the gratitude, relief, and peace of mind that this would overwhelmingly provide as well as the many continued blessings this reliable vehicle would contribute to. From Roxie's surgeries, her dads heart operation, to her brothers recent and ongoing kidney/bladder surgery.

Without expectations we can only ask that those who can, will at least share this.

I don't exactly know how or if these things work but as we find it embarrasing enough to resort to "crowdfunding", plz no negative comments.
