My Brother & His Family

Donation protected
This is my brother Manuel with his two daughters  Anna and Marianna and his wife Alicia, celebrating the graduation of one of my nieces  from the University of Texas at El Paso in one of the photos.  The other is a picture of my brother and his wife, Alicia.    They also have a son who is a retired officer of the U.S. Army who fought in Afghanistan twice.

This week, my sister-in-law Alicia suffered from a severe aneurysm and multiple strokes.  Alicia is in grave condition and in need of much medical care.  She has suffered multiple strokes and is currently in an induced coma with the very difficult job of trying to get well enough so they can run more tests-more costly tests.

As you might imagine, it has been very difficult for my brother and his kids to deal with the reality of having to be by her side, to support each other and also to worry about all of the medical costs associated with her treatment.  They have enough worries about Alicia's health that I wanted to make their finances the least of those worries.

A little story about my brother and his family.  Manuel is the oldest of my two brothers.  He has always done what he can for his family.  My brother and his wife Alicia have raised three incredible kids who have worked very hard in bettering themselves and their family:  Anna who is currently getting her PHD in Geo Physics, Marianna who is getting her Masters in Public Health and also has a degree in Bio-Molecular Chemistry.  My nephew Christian is a retired officer of the U.S. Army who served our country twice in Afghanistan and is currently also working on getting his Masters Degree .  My brother's  kids have worked very hard by following my brother and his wife's lead in making education a priority so that they can build a better future for themselves and the family.   They've also always put family first and are a family of faith.

Our family didn't grow up with money.  We've all had to work for our own successes and his family is no exception.  Like yours and mine, their family is hard working but by no means is a family of wealth.

I started this GoFundMe campaign in hopes of helping them raise funds for her medical care-all funds will go directly towards Alicia's medical costs.  No donation is too small or too large.  If all you can offer are prayers, we would appreciate those too.  If you can spare any donations of any kind, my family and I would be most grateful.

Thank you for your consideration and your very generous hearts!
