For Henry and Kate Kocatekin

As many of you have probably heard the heart wrenching news of our much loved Henry Kocatekin’s current state, we all as a community need to be there for this amazing young man and his beautiful mother Kate.
Henry has been heavily involved in charity work since he was in primary school, raising thousands for mitochondrial disease, later being awarded the Mito Foundation award in 2015. He has volunteered for hospitals, surf life saving and been involved in relay for life and city to surf. He is an outstanding debater, hilarious actor, and the most kind and caring young man you could know.
During his travels in Portugal, 18yr old Henry has suffered serious burns.
Henry is doing much better than the news articles have depicted; the media’s information is skewed due to privacy reasons so please don’t read too much into it. We are all hoping for the best possible outcome and to see him soon.
Whilst money is a distant way of showing support in a time of need, it is the best long term way we can all be there for this family, as medical, accommodation and recovery costs shouldn’t have to be a concern.
We need to allow Kate and Henry’s nearest and dearest to be there wholeheartedly for emotional support. We can help with the rest.
I ask that everyone please respect their privacy and refrain from making any extra posts about this event on social media other than the sharing of this go fund me campaign.
The Kocatekins have already dealt with trauma and tragedy after the loss of their beloved Alice. If you could share this to as many people as possible we would all be truly grateful.
