Kinan has always been a true child of the world his entire life.
Growing up in Syria and Cyprus, surrounded by a large extended family in a time of relative peace, and then in Saudi Arabia, attending the American International school where he excelled at studies, especially music, singing and the sciences, then moving briefly to the USA to finish high school, before attending University in Edinburgh and London, he eventually made the UK his home as a young adult.
He has befriended and enriched the lives of so many people, from all corners of the world.
Starting a recording label in London in 2005, he nourished and supported the work, talent and lives of countless artists, putting them first, empowering them in terms of ownership, direction and royalties, while still (amazingly) finding time to create his own music.
He has produced, mastered and collaborated on music for so many independent artists in the UK, Europe and US, including the legendary Victoria Wilson James, with whom he also released the astounding work of Avitas.
Many of you may also know his sound-therapy collaborative work with renowned vocal coach, composer and sound therapist Russell Penn under the moniker of Kyanite.
With frequent visits and stints in Ibiza over many years, he taught Yoga, and along with life partner Pete Townsend, launched the Planetary Meditation Peace gatherings, the regular Transcendence Meditation Ibiza group and brought the incredible life changing Template Ceremonies to the island.
Through these avenues he has demonstrated the innate goodness of what it is to be human, and facilitated profound change in all the communities he is involved in, both on the individual and collective levels. All of this work done voluntarily, seeking only to cover costs and no more.
During this time he and his family and loved ones, have endured the total destruction of his homeland, Syria.
Yet always, Kinan has sought to care and nourish others, privately keeping his own grief at bay.
Those who know Kinan, are blessed by the totally selfless support and love of all whom he encounters.
He leads with his soul, and shows all by example, the power of love in action.
Now, Kinan and Pete URGENTLY need your help. Kinan is facing the biggest challenge of his life so far.
Diagnosed with a rare Neuro-Endocrine Cancer, he is in London receiving treatment in a mix of orthodox medicine and alternative naturopathic modes.
Specialist oncologists admit that they have no idea of the outcome, and as yet have had limited success or avenues to treat this extremely rare cancer.
As this cancer is usually only seen in the very elderly, and as Kinan is still young, the hope is that the mix of treatment regimes will control and cure his illness.
With Pete at his side, and the love of family and friends, we believe he will beat this, survive AND thrive.
But we are requesting help, to afford the hugely expensive alternative therapies we believe is required to facilitate his healing.
Also help is needed with affording incidental items urgently required for his comfort and care.
On-call naturopaths, complimentary therapists, Ozone therapy, medicinal oils, homeopathic supplements, specialised furniture and bathroom adaptations, transport costs, a washing machine, cold press juicer, water filter and the need to find accommodation for his visiting family.
Due to radical government cutbacks in social welfare and state medical budgets, and charities having to severely limit any aid they can give, public benefits are nowhere near enough to provide the amount required.
Please, if you can spare a little or a lot, any donation towards his care will greatly increase his recovery, and relieve a huge amount of financial and emotional stress on both Pete, Kinan and our families.
We are initially aiming to raise A$20,000 (approximately 12,000 British Pounds & 9% being transaction fees)
