Helping Anguillan Pups get the best chance at life.

Anguilla is a small country in the Carribean. There are many stray dogs and cats. Many owned dogs spend their lives on a short chain, covered with fleas/ticks, and hoping to get their next meal. There is one shelter but it is small and not well funded. Plus no homes. They do what they can, and do an amazing job. Anguilla Animal Rescue Fund (AARF) Shelter and the Vet are very helpful. Check out AARF Anguilla!

Though there are dogs in shelters at home (US/Canada); I believe getting them off this island is still the best choice at this time, in order for them to have the best chance for a full life. There is simply more opportunity.

Myself, and others, are doing what we can to help. I take a pup home everytime I go, and any visitors are sent home with a pup. I have a few people who help me by fostering my pups until they find a home. I am always looking for fosters and adopters.

Pups cost $200-$300 to fly. Plus the cost of a carrier. Being on a strict school budget makes this difficult; therefore, I am raising money to cover the costs and care for and fly home atleast 8 more puppies.

Donations will go primarily towards puppy flights - any excess going directly to care of other dogs. Adoption fees for the pups go directly towards flying home the next pup!

Education is needed here. In the meantime, please help me save the few pups I can by supporting Fly-A-Pup and saving an Anguillan Doggy. One makes all the difference.

THANK YOU

(Remember 5% of your donation will be deducted)

Goal Calculations:

*Update: Bringing goal down from 2500$ as I am being made to realize I cannot rescue all the dog I wish to save.

My Xmas Flights (whodey leo) = 550$

Visitor Flights (feb) = 200$ x 1 = 200$

My Spring Flights (apr) = 200$

Visitor Flights (jun-aug) = 200$ x 3 = 600$

My Final Flights (aug) = 200$

Total: 1750$

Round up to 1900$ (incase for an extra flight).

I am fully open about donations and exactly how the money is being spent. I have incurred costs of nearly 1,100$ and donations of just about 1,500$. Just enough for a few last pups next semester. If anyone would like to see my financial info, just send me an email at cassidy.rosalie@gmail.com. It is an excel file.

Since I am doing such a large 'shipment' this time around I MAY (unless objections - this is your $) use some funds to pay for vetting and health certificates. I would also like to ask how people would feel about - if in the end I have left over funds - if I could put it towards the Spay and Neuter Program here - which is severly underfunded.

I hope not to let Fly-A-Pup die out as I honestly hope to expand it as a way to link rescues and help people get their furry friend match, who just might happen to be across or out of country. That being said I will be busy the next coming years and will not be able to directly fly pups myself. So my thoughts are to shift to the spay/neuter program and hit the problem - but I could never give up on the unfortunate (well fortunate) ones that end up in the shelter and need a home. So we shall see how things go :)

Four pups at the house! Welcome to Rosie's Rescue haha! jk. One is a foster heading to Boston in a few days. One is a stray that needs vetting. The other two are AARF adoptee's heading to Canada at the end of the month :) Got two more coming at some point - also will go to Canada. And I believe I have volunteers for 2-3 to go to Toronto.
