Fluttering Families Needs a Home!

In 2011, Fluttering Families was created to provide support, advocacy, events, and activities for families of children with special needs. Our focus is to provide opportunities for their entire family to feel included, respected, and valued in their community in spite of their unique needs and challenges. And we have done so solely through donations, sponsorship, and kindness.

For many special families, our events are the only way they can participate in childhood rites of passage, like visiting Santa, collecting eggs at an Easter egg hunt, or dressing up and dancing at a Sweetheart Dance. We offer a safe, relaxed, and nonjudgmental environment where everyone can be themselves.
But we want to do more.
Since the beginning, we have been renting space in the community for each event. And now, we need to have a place of our own. A place where special families can gather together on a more routine basis. A place that allows for more support and educational opportunities for parents. A safe, nurturing place that fosters our growth and metamorphosis from what we thought our family would be, to what our family is.
