Florence Family (6) Fears Eviction

One of my friends and her five young children are at risk of being put out on the streets this Friday due to withstanding bills. 

As a single mom, W. has been working two jobs and tries her hardest to make up for the absence of her husband's financial support.

After working the graveyard shift at her first job, W. sneaks in a nap in her car before rushing to drop off her children at school and make it to her second job. 

Being able to provide for her children is the most important thing to her, so putting them in this situation has been heart breaking. Her children complain about not being able to spend time with their mom because she is always working. 

After reaching out to social services, she was told that they can not help her until she finds a new apartment and pays the security deposit on her own. 

Knowing that she can not afford to clear her debt, W. is planning on living in a local motel with her five children until she can save up enough to move into a new apartment.

Our friend asked to be kept anonymous for fear of her friends treating her differently. 

W. is one of the kindest people I know and always puts the well being of others before her own, she is not someone who reaches our for help so we are taking it upon ourselves. 

Now it's our turn.

We want to Pay it Forward for our good friend and make sure that she knows that she is not going through this trying time on her own and that her community supports her.
