Flight for my mom's funeral

I recently lost my mother and am going to attend her funeral in Texas, i currently live in Iowa. Due to us purchasing a plane ticket so close to the holidays a ticket for my wife and myself is going to cost us $1,600. We had the birth of our son on November 1st so we are pretty strapped with funds due to the medical bills. We would just like some help to get through this and so I can be there for my father. I miss and love my mother dearly and anything will help.
