Help me get to the UN Climate Talks

I am a 20 year old climate activist from the Adelaide Hills. I am lucky enough to have been selected to go as part of an AYCC & Seed delegation to the UN Climate Negotiations in Paris this December.
It has been my dream to go to the UN Climate Talks since I learnt about the devastating and far-reaching impacts of climate change, which exacerbate extreme poverty, conflict and displacement of people all around the world. Most of all, climate change is unbelievably unjust; those most affected by climate change, First Nations people and people from the Global South, are not those who are causing the problem.
In my own community, we have been impacted by dangerous bushfires and drought, conditions which are predicted to get far worse as the planet warms.
This year, world leaders are coming together to try and finally reach a globally binding agreement on climate change. As a young person, I know that any such agreement must be ambitious and just, and that governments such as our own, whose contributions to action on climate change have thus far been shamefully weak, are held accountable.
As a delegate, I will be representing the thousands of young Australians who want to see our future and climate protected, organising actions that demonstrate to our government they will be held responsible for what they do in Paris when they return.
The opportunity to bear witness to the negotiations is not the only importance of this trip however; in December I will also have the chance to work in solidarity with thousands of young people from across the world, ensuring that our movement is ready for what lies beyond Paris.
To be part of this important work in Paris, I need to raise $4000 to cover flights, food and accommodation for the trip.
I would greatly appreciate any help towards this goal, and I promise I will send you a thank you postcard from Paris!
