A Little Video Love From Kiera & “BigDaddy”
Hear Their Story Straight From Them
Where do I begin....Kiera & “BigDaddy” have been together for 12 years and have been trying to grow their family for the past 5 years.
In 2013 they experienced their first loss, a devastating miscarriage. They decided to focus on their wedding and give themselves time to heal.
In 2015 they decide to try again, only to be met with another loss, an ectopic pregnancy. Kiera had to have emergency surgery that resulted in losing her left fallopian tube.
With two unbearable losses, Kiera & “BigDaddy” grew apart and separated for almost a year. We all knew they belonged together & would find their way back to one another. In early 2017 God brought them back together and they were stronger than ever before. It was beautiful to watch.
With only one fallopian tube, their doctors explained that they could still conceive, however it would be much harder. After 8 months of trying they we’re thrilled to get that positive pregnancy test. Shortly after this exciting news Kiera started to experience symptoms of a miscarriage. Kiera had an ultrasound and was informed that it was, in fact, a miscarriage. Although this was heartbreaking, they were still hopeful & grateful that they could still conceive naturally. On April 19th of this year things took a turn for the worst. Kiera passed out and was rushed to the hospital. After 5 seizures & an ultrasound the doctors discovered that Kiera was hemorrhaging due to a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. At that point, Kiera had already lost 3 liters of blood. She was rushed into the OR to save her life. Family & friends gathered at the hospital, not knowing if she was going to survive. Kiera had to receive a blood transfusion and underwent removal of her only remaining fallopian tube. Now that conceiving naturally is no longer an option, Kiera & “Big Daddy” have a long road ahead of them with IVF.
My dearest friends are the most deserving couple to become parents and are loved by so many....Let’s make this journey of theirs a little easier & help lift the financial burden of IVF expenses.
