Hello, this is the story of a kidney failure patient.
We, his sons, made it possible to get his treatment,
here in Bcn, Spain.
Update: He's good, he's fine.
Fundación Puigvert, the second most of everything in nephrology in Europe. He's there now.
Dyalisis: three times a week, still.
And still waiting for his transplant.
Objectives:
The objective, now that he's no more in Venezuela;
is simply to maintain him long enough, here in Bcn, maybe two years or three, until his transplant gets approved.
For me, his oldest, is difficult economically to maintain him on one only salary. Even thou he doesn't pay for the treatment (as a Spaniard), he needs medicines. Those, have to be payed.

Why are we doing this crowdfunding?
We are doing this because it's the only way
to give him a chance to last more than he should.
Because he was living in Venezuela and back there,
there's not enough medicines for the treatment.
What happened to my dad?
He was always been diagnosed
with kidney stones, and gout.
High levels of Uric Acid.
No red meat, no salt, no glasses of wine, no nothing.
Then, years after, he was diagnosed wrong.
He always got a kidney genetically
smaller than the other...
So to process fluids and liquids, it’s kind of hard.
No improvements since 2016.
Why Barcelona?
As a Spaniard he has access to Free Health in Spain.
But, the Public Health Programs last like forever.
A kidney transplant can last 4 years on a waiting list.
What clinic?

He's already getting treatment from this people.
And it's amazing.
As a Spaniard, he gets this treatment for free, because it's his birth right. Social Security and Medical Freecare.
Treatment costs per month: 3000€ and it's free!
