Fitness Competitor to build Home

My passion for travelling brought me to Australia, a beautiful country that is now home of choice. But not everyone I met during my trips has a place to call home. 

I would like to give hope and will fly to Cambodia end of this year to build a house for a family, currently without a home. Compared to unaffordable house prices in Sydney a home in Cambodia only costs $3000, which I aim to raise. 

And here comes the catch: To do this I have committed to step on stage at the prestigious WBFF (World Beauty Fitness & Fashion) bodybuilding show end of July in Sydney. http://www.wbffshows.com.au/

Now you might think, how should someone over 35 years, with an office job sitting all day long at her desk in front of a computer manage to do this?
Personally, just thinking about going on a stage wearing a tiny bikini, with all eyes on me makes my hands sweaty and my stomach twist.

But it is all for a very worthwhile cause and particular interest to me given that despite desperate poverty and hardships unimaginable for us in the first world, I experienced generosity and truly touching warmth of the people in Cambodia.

Over the past weeks my social life was almost non-existent as I’ve been spending hours in the gym, working harder lifting weights, preparing and eating food following accurate weight measurements and learning posing. It is the toughest challenge physically and emotionally I have done so far.

But I am sure it will be all worth it and can't wait to see the smiles of the Cambodian family when they will move in their new home.
