Fit by 40- Why should you support my transformation journey? For the first time ever- I am taking charge of my health and most importantly I am taking charge of my life. I am finally in control of my Asthma. I have struggled with Asthma since early childhood and have been in and out of hospitals and emergency rooms since my early life. I have received endless amounts of oral steroids throughout the years that have made my life and weight challenging to say the least.
With the uncontrolled and escalating weight- came other health challenges as well. I felt like I was caught in a never ending cycle with uncontrolled asthma. I felt like my life was being cut short and no one was able to truly help me. I could not accept dying young as a solution, so I continued searching for answers.
I was referred to an allergist who finally got my Asthma under control in Oct 2018. Dr. Juanita Mora of the Chicago Allergy Center started me on a biologic for Asthma. Suddenly- I started having a splurge of energy. I was no longer short of breath climbing up two flights of stairs to my apartment. I started to believe in myself because I had a team who believed in me. My doctor partnered up with Crossfit Chisel to train me and create a nutrition program to meet my goals. For the first time in my life- I am hopeful for change. I want to do this the right way- exercise and diet alone!
I am humbly asking for your support to help support the costs of my training, nutrition and meal program. I finally feel like I have a team of people that believe in me. I am going to be held accountable and you will find monthly updates on instagram page for Crossfit Chisel and on this gofundme page. My goal is to be fit by the time I turn 40 in September 2020. It’s all about FIT by 40!
Any amount over my goal will be donated towards the American Lung Association.
