First Nation's Mission Outreach

Thanks for stopping by our GoFundMe page. We are raising money to complete a self-funded Mission Outreach on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Please read our story for details:

Curtis Horse was born and raised on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and is no stranger to the deplorable conditions found within the. Due to a lack of infrastructure, 97% of people on the reservation live below the federal poverty line with a median income of $3000 annually, 60% of people live without water or electricity, alcoholism effects 8/10 families. and the suicide rate is more than twice the national average.

But more over, Curtis is no stranger to the reality of living without hope, living without love, and living without God.

Over the course of his life on the reservation, Curtis was constantly questioning why he was alive, and who the true creator of this earth really was. He had heard stories of the Great Spirit, and even partook of the traditional Native American way of life for a time... However nothing ever satisfied the urgency to 'find God'. Until the week before his 18th birthday.

A man of God by the name of Marcus Samuel lead Curtis to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, where he was instantly delivered from drugs, alcohol, and a life without hope. For Jesus had stepped into his heart to become the hope of his world, in his acceptance of Him.

Coming to the understanding the power of the love of God, flowing through him, Curtis spent the last 7 years both on and off of the Reservation being trained and equipped to do the work of the Lord. From day one he has carried a burden to return to the Oglala Lakota Sioux people, to bear the love and light of Jesus Christ to his Tribe, just as the late man of God brother Marcus brought the gospel of Jesus into his own life so many years ago.

Now, Curtis & wife Hailey have been given the opportunity to return to the First Nation's people of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, to truly go forth and make disciples by walking in the Love & Hope of Jesus Christ, the Father and the Holy Spirit, to see souls multiplied in the Kingdom and brought up in the way they should go.

They will be departing in the month of May for this long term Mission Outreach, and will be self funding the whole way. These funds will go towards living expenses, and ministry investments as the Lord leads.
