The Newmarket High School Robotics Club, known officially NHS Robotics, is comprised of 52 high school students located in Ontario, Canada. We participate in a variety of robotics competitions, including the UOIT Engineering Robotics Competition, VEX Robotics Competition, and Skills Ontario Robotics Contest. This year, for the first time since our inception, we are competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition.

The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is a program run by the organization For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST. In preparation for this competition, students must work with mentors to build their robot based on tasks presented by FIRST. Each team has 6 weeks to design, build, and test their robots before heading out to competitions around the world where they will compete with various other teams from different areas. The objectives are different every year, and this year it is centered around the idea of “DESTINATION: DEEP SPACE”.

We aim to inspire students and provide opportunities to learn and experience STEM in a fun and rewarding environment through the use of robots and other related activities.

As a high-school club that seeks to provide students with numerous opportunities and enrichment, our budget runs high. We rely on external donations to sustain our activities, which is why we are asking for your help.

Your donation will go towards competition fees and purchasing materials needed to build our robot. We thank you in advance for your support!
